Recap of last week of fellowship
What is needed to conduct SSOT?
Serving ones for group time
What should be started now: facility reservation, t-shirt, sign up form,
Registration payment is by locality, so no need to deal with individual saints’ payment
Vancouver hasn’t asked the saints yet, might have 3-4+ homes available.
Young people attendees, including Roseburg, last year there was ~35, this year with the increase in Portland saints, we expect ~40
Fang will follow up on facility (ACed gym) rental from public schools nearby
Grace will look into t-shirt production and binders.
Ask young people for help on T-shirt Design, which needs to be ready before the end of June.
Daniel will look in to songs for the song book, including some from the past retreats.
Need to order books from LSM- can do this without needing definite numbers, since books can be reused in a following year. Fang will follow up.
Possibly hosting the SSOT for some days in the Vancouver meeting hall in addition to Portland, this could be based on the afternoon's activity

Fellowship
Yesterday’s fellowship brothers from Portland and Vancouver plus Wayne: stick to the first Saturday of the month; better utilization of WhatsApp for coordination, brothers tend to not say anything on WhatsApp; Reviewed SSOT history, how it was determined to have it in Portland this year with view of one work in Oregon, how church life “culture” has changed with families and their willingness to participate. Difficulty to participate in fellowship and to provide hospitality. The real need is to shepherd our young people into living a christian life. Can’t be just a small group of serving ones to take care of the young people. Every saint can shepherd. There was a revival in Puerto Rico as a result. How to change the culture? Began to speak the ministry between the Lord’s Table and the prophesying meeting. Today in the Portland meeting, Jim spoke on the history of the SSOT and the caring of the young people. Without homes open, we cannot do it. Eugene needs to be a bit more balanced, but the blessings are visible. We should not assume that the SSOT will just happen in Portland. We need to be exercised before the Lord, receiving fresh vision.
Roger: We just need to offer our body to reach out to our young people.
Jerry: been in SSOT both in Oregon and in Bellevue. In Bellevue, the brothers used to sleep in the hall with a very conducive environment. One year, when they transitioned to the homes, the result was not very good.
Daniel: Vancouver saints can also participate in hosting.
Can we ask the church in Eugene, if we need to move the SSOT back to Eugene this year, when would be the latest time to ask so that the saints in Eugene can still have enough time to prepare.

We need to pray to receive burden from the Lord regarding this SSOT and speak these burdens to other serving ones
Does this time work the best for the serving ones in Portland? They are the hosting locality. If they indicate a better time for them, we all will try our best to accommodate.
Many of the serving ones in Portland are young and new in service. They need to be shepherded into this coordination. Portland brothers include: Henry Li, Shalom Kidane, Michael Lu, and Yulu Sung

We went over the list of chapters of level 3 and level 2 again. The overall feeling is to cover Level 3 Two Spirits - the Divine Spirit and the Human Spirit. There is a greater need for the young people to know their spirit and to know how to exercise their spirit to experience the anointing of the Holy Spirit. It is also important to know the Triune God and the person and work of Christ for the young people to appreciate Christ even more. We will most likely cover level 2 next year.
The age qualification for the SSOT is going into 7th grade in the fall.
In the past years when SSOT was in Eugene, the young people spent their entire day all together at the meeting hall for 2 - 3 sessions, small group time, lunch, and dinner (9:00 am to 8:30 pm). There were activity times every afternoon in rented facilities or parks, when the young people were also all together.
There was lots of blending among the young people, especially during the small group time, when they could really open up themselves.

Ministry excerpt: Life-study of Ezekiel 7. The Coordination of the Four Living Creatures (1)
FOLLOWING THE SPIRIT
…For example, it is right that one brother should have a ministry of preaching the gospel and that another brother should have a ministry of shepherding. But there must be the leading of the Spirit concerning the time for preaching the gospel and the time for shepherding. When it is time for the church to carry out the ministry of preaching the gospel, the brother with this ministry should take the lead under the guidance of the Spirit, and the whole church should follow and be one with this brother. Those with a different ministry or function should coordinate by walking backward or sideways.
THE ISSUE OF COORDINATION
At this point we need to consider the issue, the result, of the coordination of the four living creatures—the burning coals and the burning torches. We all need to bear the likeness of living creatures, the likeness of a man, and the likeness of burning coals and burning torches.
Becoming Burning Coals
Ezekiel 1:13 says, “As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, and like the appearance of lamps: it went up and down among the living creatures; and the fire was bright, and out of the fire went forth lightning.” Here we see that the result of the coordination of the living creatures is that they become burning coals. There is a fire among them and within them. Because they are coordinated ones, God comes in as fire, and each of them becomes a burning coal.
How can we know whether or not there is the proper coordination in a particular local church? We know this by the presence of the burning coals. If there are no burning coals in a certain church, there is no coordination there. Where there is coordination, there will surely be the burning coals.
In the coordination we burn one another. You burn me, and I burn you. However, if we are isolated from the saints and do not attend the meetings, we will not be burning coals. Instead, we will be cold, black coals. The spiritual principle is that we burn one another. From experience we can testify that the more we coordinate together, the more we burn one another. The issue, the result, of coordination is that we all become burning coals.
Burning Out the Negative Things
The burning of the coals does at least three things. First, it burns out everything that is negative. If something is put upon a heap of burning coals, that thing will be burned. If there is proper coordination in the church, there will be a burning to burn away such things as worldliness, the flesh, self-aims, self-goals, pride, opinions, and boasting. All kinds of negative things will be burned away by the coordination. Anything that does not correspond to God and to the nature of God will be burned out by the sanctifying and purifying fire of the burning coals, and only what is of God will remain. This is the proper condition of the church life.
…
We should apply this matter of coordination not only in a particular local church but also among the churches. This means that we should be followers of the churches (1 Thes. 2:14). We are one Body in one move of the Lord. When one church takes the lead in a definite direction under the leading of the Holy Spirit, we all should walk backward and sideways to follow.
We considered again the two different kinds of daily schedules (reviewed on Feb. 22)
Before 2020 when held in Portland
In hospitality homes: morning sessions, lunch, afternoon activities
This required lunch helpers in each home if the host needs to work
In meeting hall or combined in one home (2019): dinner, evening sessions
Since 2021 when held in Eugene
In the meeting hall: all sessions, lunch and dinner
This needs only one group of helpers each for lunch and for dinner
In rented facilities: afternoon activities
We had a feeling that since most of the young people have been with us for the last several years, they have been in levels 4, 5, and 6 (see Feb. 15). We should cover either level 2 or level 3.
We prayerfully went over the table of contents of level 2 and level 3. There was a strong sense pointing to level 3 when we prayed.
